New Build Office Insulation

Our client, PBP Services, based in Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, were looking for a cost-effective, environmentally-friendly insulation product for a recent project.

They required floor insulation for a new build office and canteen area (7 x 10m) that would provide effective heat retention.

Supply and install of the repurposed PIR insulation

We supplied our client with 147m2 of our repurposed PIR insulation at various thicknesses which were then doubled up to create the required depth for the sub-floor.

To install the insulation, timber beading was fitted to the floor joists to ensure the panels would be kept secure. The boards were then installed and cut to size as necessary, and slotted in between the joists before laying new chipboard on top.

The finished installation

The result is a cost-effective and sustainable solution to insulating the floor of the new office and canteen space.

Our repurposed PIR board will ensure that the new building is efficiently insulated for years to come, due to its high-quality thermal benefits and robust, long-lasting structure. Using repurposed PIR insulation for this project saved 5.64T Co2eq.

As the PIR insulation is a circular economic product, it has also diverted waste from landfill and negated the need for new materials. By using our repurposed PIR boards, the client has found a sustainable, cost-effective way to insulate the floors of their build.
